As a not-for-profit organisation, we are partly funded by income from schools, grants and kind donations from local people and organisations. 

Any support you can offer is hugely appreciated - small things go a long way in the workshop and acts of kindness are always welcome. There are many different ways you could help support PVC:

Donating materials

We need lots of materials and tools to deliver the courses to our learners, so donations of materials like brick, block, timber, plaster, paint and paper are greatly appreciated. We also welcome donations of good quality boots for learners to wear during lessons. Crown Paints kindly topped up our paint buckets with their stock, meaning our students were able to learn with great quality products!

It's not only material donations that make a huge difference to us. Warburtons have also previously donated crates of bread to us, meaning we could provide breakfast for all our learners in the morning.

Making financial donations

As a not-for-profit charity, financial donations help us to buy new equipment, PPE and resources, making sure our learners have the best possible learning experience. If you would like to make a financial donation of any amount, we would love to hear from you.

Becoming a Patron of PVC is a fantastic opportunity to fulfil your corporate social responsibilities while making a difference to your local community and helping improve the future of young people in Preston. There are three levels of Patrons’ Packages available - take a look below or download the full package brochure!

Silver
Silver Package
(£500/year)

Included in this package is:

  • The opportunity to visit our training centre to see the great work we do with the young people you're helping to support

  • Access to reduced-cost DIY training for your staff

  • Recognition of your support as a sponsor on our website, X page, in the media and our e-newsletter
Gold
Gold Package
(£2000/year)

Included in this package is everything in Silver, plus:

  • Sponsorship and presentation of a student award at our annual awards evening

  • Tour the centre with your clients to demonstrate your commitment to the community

  • Nominate PVC as your charity of the year and we'll visit you to deliver a short presentation to your team about how their fundraising can make a difference
Platinum
Platinum Package
(£5000/year)

Included in this package is everything in Gold, plus: 

  • Your logo displayed at the Centre

  • We'll host a bespoke team-building session for you and your teams, where you can try out some of our trades for yourself

  • PVC colleagues will speak at your corporate events about the Centre and the big difference your support makes

  • Access to special promotion packages for any PVC events

  • We'll engage with you as an employer, showing our young people a real-life work environment and explore apprenticeship opportunities
