About this course
If you're in Year 10 and feel like you would benefit from learning practical construction skills away from school, our 14-16 programme might be the right option for you. You could benefit from our professional pre-college environment, which is very different to school.
This is a two-year programme which delivers City and Guilds 6219 Extended Certificate in Construction Skills (QCF). This is broadly equivalent to one GCSE Grade 2-5. It is designed for 14-16 year groups who are working at level 1 and want to include a study of construction in their broader Key Stage 4 curriculum. Pupils benefit from small class sizes where they can receive extra input from our highly experienced tutors.

Exams are not required for this course, as it is an ongoing assessment.
Learners must be working at level 1.
Pupils will be required to wear clothing suitable for a workshop environment and full protective equipment (PPE) including steel toe cap boots. PVC can provide these boots and overalls, however it is preferred that pupils bring their own.
